The Land of Northern Lights – Entangled Stories of Belonging
A dialogical, documentary, and artistic cooperation that studies experiences about migration, interculturalism and multilingualism through art and narrative in Sweden and in Finland. It is an artistic, documentary and experimental exploration of “Finnishness”, “Swedishness” and somewhere in between.
The Co-Storytellers in the twin exhibition’s part 2 together with Eija Mäkivuoti are:
Pirkko Sihvonen, Leena Appelqvist, Henri Hiltunen, Matilda Löytty, Anki Kemi, Jouko Alapartanen, Mikko Mäkivuoti, Anne Mäkivuoti, Jarno Kotavuopio, Ida-Emilia Mäkivuoti and Emma-Sofia Mäkivuoti.
The exhibition’s part 1 is on display at Aine’s Art Museum, Tornio 17.9.–14.11.2021.
